Hello, I’m Alice Wright, founder of TutorWright.

I am a qualified teacher and personal tutor with more than 20 years experience ​of teaching adults, young adults and children with a range of abilities and in a ​variety of roles and settings including mainstream and special schools, Adult ​Education, Health Promotion, Further Education, and on a free lance basis.

I have a BA Honours Degree in Education Studies, a certificate in Education, and ​certificates in adult literacy, numeracy and ITQ subject support. I have 12 years ​classroom teaching experience and 8 years one to one experience as a private ​tutor.

I have tutored students in preparation for 11+ entrance exams, GCSE maths, ​GCSE English language and literature, KS3 science, Functional Skills maths, and ​A level English Literature. My one-to-one students have included GCSE resits, ​home schoolers, school refusers, children in care, children with learning ​difficulties and disabilities and mainstream students from KS3 to adult.

As a one-to-one tutor I can focus on each student’s unique learning needs, ​providing tailored lessons and helping them overcome barriers to learning. ​Read my feedback below.
